Last season’s top two both got their seasons off to a disappointing start on the opening day but Saturday’s clash between Leicester and Arsenal will see all the pressure on visiting manager Arsene Wenger.

A 4-3 loss at home to Liverpool saw a mutinous atmosphere emerge at the Emirates, with fans demanding new signings and a change of approach from the manager. They may be disappointed on the former – it seems increasingly unlikely that a new centre-back will be bought in time to feature at the King Power despite long-term injuries to Gabriel and Per Mertesacker.

However a trio of returning stars from Euro 2016 could feature, with Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny all having spent two weeks in training since returning from their holidays.

The visit to Leicester also provides Arsene Wenger with a chance to see what he could have won this summer, with Jamie Vardy expected to face Arsenal for the first time since he turned down a move to the Emirates. Riyad Mahrez was also on the Gunners’ radar over recent months but will line up against them on Saturday.
